For months, the historic bells of First-Plymouth Church's “Singing Tower” were silenced… under maintenance after decades of wear and tear. There are 57 bells in all, with the largest weighing close to 4600 lbs, suspended atop the 171-foot tower. The oldest bells came from England and have been in the tower since the church was built in 1931. With this latest restoration, the tower is “singing” once again…thanks in part to the musician who climbs the narrow, spiral staircase to the top of the tow
