Let’s talk about muscle soreness and why it’s NOT the sign of progress we often think it is. A few weeks ago, I did a METCON: 10-minute row and 100 bodyweight walking lunges, among other things. The day after, my low back and quads were actually quite sore. Normally, I row for just a few minutes as a warm-up, and my lunges, when I do them, are typically loaded quite a bit, lower-rep, and broken into sets.
