The Denver Broncos executed a batch of roster moves after securing the AFC's No. 1 seed in last week's win over the Chargers. Denver announced Wednesday that it signed center Michael Deiter, offensive tackle Geron Christian, and tight end Marcedes Lewis to the practice squad.
For the ninth time​ since 1975, the Denver Broncos have secured the No. 1 seed in the AFC at the conclusion of the regular season.
The Broncos came out on top 19-3 in Week 18 against the Los Angeles Chargers, though their performance wasn't all that convincing. Denver finished with 240 total yards despite L.A. resting some key veterans with an eye toward Wild Card Weekend. Quarterback Bo Nix failed to hit 200 passing yards for the second straight week.
The Broncos have their flaws, but they have also shown an ability to overcome them time and again. It earned them the No. 1 seed Sunday.
