Website advertisements cannot be blocked by the Edge pop-up blocker. Edge also does not prevent a pop-up from opening if you select a button or link on a web page.
How do I block ads? This blocks most ads. You may still see a few ads that Adblock Plus has determined acceptable. If you prefer to browse completely ad-free, follow these steps:
Select View site information to the left of your address bar. Under Permissions for this site > Notifications, choose Block from the drop-down menu. Note: You can resubscribe to a website's notifications in the future by returning to this menu and choosing Allow.
